ARTBORIZATIONS

Contemplating a work by Txema Muñoz is always an act of crossing a threshold.

Bold and sincere, he does not seek to freeze an image or reproduce nature, but to reveal a world in constant evolution. Each mark, each accident, each reserve of blue gives rise to a secret territory where the visible merges with an ever-shifting and elusive imagination. Txema’s creations do not point to any specific place: they are archetypal spaces that transform beneath—and through—our gaze.

Branches, canopies, and leaves emerge as breaths or as invisible forces that traverse matter, shaping true ecosystems of the sensitive.

Trees, beyond their ecological function, offer a rich and ever- changing aesthetic experience. Their seasonal cycle, their bark, and their leaves reveal textures, forms, and plays of light that nourish our imagination.

The trees of my “ARTborisations” are, above all, a symbolic return to my roots: through the metaphor of the tree, a visual and emotional bridge is built between my Spanish origin and my life on Belgian soil. Then, in a surreal vision, the trees become creative entities. They dream themselves before sprouting, exchange ideas like pollen, and generate entire miniature worlds. Each tree is a living being, an architect of its own existence and of the time that surrounds it.

This process unites causality and chance: my technical choices define a framework, but the unpredictability of the materials and the viewer’s intervention transform the work into an open dialogue. Thus, the ARTborisations blur the boundaries between the real and the imaginary, between creator and creation, inviting us to rethink life, consciousness, and the act of creation itself.
